Well I made it there with encouragement from my sister. My mom got worried cause when my sister mentioned I went to SD for a couple days and would be back on Monday she (my mom) thought I was going to the Black Hills which she knows I cannot drive to and back from in a mere 42 hours. Well I could but I certainly would not really want to.
Anyway she's alright now that I finally got her frantic voicemail begging me to call ASAP. I would have got it nearly right away but she left it on my home phone rather than my cell thinking she had called my cell.
So the fair was good. It was small which is nice. It was muddy which is rennie. It was quiet which was odd. I got to see some acts I had not seen before which was very cool. My favorite was a singer named Ian MacFarlane. I didn't see anyone I knew but I met some very nice people. I also got some goods! I bought a cup made from a tree by hollowing it out. I also got a pocket knife that has a dragon entwined in flowers on it. I also got a tarot reading which answered questions but left some unanswered too. I like stuff like that. :) I'm not going to blog about the tarot except to say that it was dead on.
For those who don't know me and are reading this: I talk to my sister a lot! nearly everyday for at least an hour. What she doesn't know is that it's all going to change soon. Soon I'll be so busy that she'll be calling me like crazy and I won't get back to her for days! Summer is here!
I so want to go to SD this weekend but don't know if I will cause it's such a long drive to do alone. I work Sat morning too so I would only be able to get there for Sun and have to drive back and work on Mon. On the other hand I bet I could do it and I'm only young once. Maybe i'll flip a coin on Sat. :)
Well I had a god time last night. It was fun to wander the museum with so few people around. I met a few people and even a few Rennies. I'lll need to find a better geek outfit if I go again next year. I was told that I was to pretty for the Geek Prom and should have been at a real prom. The music was a bit too loud but I did dance a few songs. I had my camera with me but failed to actually use it. It just seemed that it would be odd to take pictures of people I didn't know in a dark dance room. Maybe next year I'll go with people I know and feel more comfortable taking pictures. I was hoping to meet someone I really clicked with but that didn't happen. I think the guy I was dancing with fell for me though. He followed me all over the museum so I gave him my e-mail address at the end of the night.
and I have the weekend off! It felt good to drop off my final today and walk off campus knowing I don't have to go back until Sept. Of course I will be back for various cool stuff but not school work. Though that's not to say I won't do any school work because I will just to keep refreshed. I'm such a geek sometimes.
Speaking of geeks . . . I'm thinking of going to the geek prom tomorrow night. It's at the Science Museum in St. Paul. My brother suggested it. I hope I meet some nice people. I'm going to have to take a nap in the afternoon in order to be able to drive back late. That seems to be the only hardship I can find about it unless they are sold out when I get there. :)
